Global Threat Reduction Initiative

GTRI - Concept and Identiry ProgramLiberal Palette provided concept development for the U.S. Department of Energy Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI) and created the programmatic brand and Implemented brand continuity for this world-wide National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) program.

In 2004, NNSA established the GTRI in the Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation to, as quickly as possible, identify, secure, remove and/or facilitate the disposition of high risk vulnerable nuclear and radiological materials around the world that pose a threat to the United States and the international community.

GTRI’s mission is to reduce and protect vulnerable nuclear and radiological material located at civilian sites worldwide. GTRI achieves its mission via three initiatives which provide a comprehensive approach to preventing terrorists’ access to nuclear and radiological materials. These three initiatives are to 1) Convert research reactors and isotope production facilities from the use of highly enriched uranium (HEU) to low enriched uranium (LEU) or verify their shutdown; 2)Remove excess nuclear and radiological materials; and 3) Protect high priority nuclear and radiological materials from theft.

Biosara, Inc.

BioSara - Corporate Identity Logo

Liberal Palette provided concept development, corporate branding and product packaging design for Biosara, Inc.’s line of health products including pediatric wound care product Dermadillos.

“Dermadillos,” the first health product under the BioSara brand is a patented skin wound protection product aimed at the family market.

The Dermadillos brand needed to fun and to reflect the fact that their ribbed design makes them more durable and able to stand up to the rigors of childhood activities and protect wounds or “life’s little owies” better.

Liberal Palette developed a brand with a light-hearted friendly feel and the name helps convey the durability of the product.  The bright colors and playful character help make the product memorable and stand out in point-of-purchase settings.
